I'm seeing this problem: the hard disk shows 100% disk usage in the task manager, but there is no process accessing the disk anymore. The copy process halts; maybe because of this problem, or it causes this problem.

I've flipped the setting in the registry.

I've never had this problem with Windows 7 or 10 up until now, and I've been using many USB drivers and sticks without problems, copying sometimes hundreds of gigabytes.

Maybe this is caused by the anniversary update.
