To answer your questions @desertgrandma, I'm french but currently live in malaysia (and will soon move to china),
I like reading historical fiction (I love Alexandre Dumas' work), science fiction (Frank Herbert, Heinlein, Asimov, Werber, Barjavel...), plays (Shakespeare, Moliere, Pagnol, Alfred de Musset) and programming books (programming is both my work and my hoby :-) )
I looked a bit around at the books uploaded here and I will definitely enjoy reading some of those books...

@sweatpea, I already want to buy one reader like the iRex digital reader to read pdf books and a smaller reader like the HanLin v3. But I think I'll start first with the smaller reader and then see if I really need a huge monster like the iRex :-)

Actually I wish I had paid more attention to the news and had known that the eink was a reality... I would have bought a reader much earlier had I known....
I've been watching the news ever since Sony brought its first reader on the market...

(not that I knew of this forum, but that's beside the point...)

And did you read all the Herbert books? Also by his son? The last should appear this year somewhere... (or is it out already?)
