I had been keeping my Aura HD synced to Calibre on a Linux machine after the MS stuffup with Windows 10 anniversary edition (I didn't bother with trying any of the workaround fixes suggested here for the problem). However, my Win10 machine downloaded and installed a new cumulative update for Win10 version 1607 yesterday, and also a smaller update (respectively KB3176934 and KB3176936), so today I plugged the Kobo into the Windows machine. Internal storage and SD card both mounted and recognised without any problem, and Calibre could see all the titles on the Kobo internal storage OK and I could send titles to the device. So it looks like the problem is fixed.
