Just FYI, Kobo seems to be having display issues with Nalini Singh's
Wild Embrace. It shows the "Buy Now" and "Add to Cart" links. But when you click to checkout it shows 'Complete Pre-order" with the explanation of how the book will available on August 23rd at the top. Did a chat with Kobo who were like whatever, "we'll escalate this and you'll hear back in 24-48 hours". I actually asked them why they don't want my money
Anyway, after some back-and-forth, I "pre-ordered" it and it showed immediately in my library. So I was able to download it with no issues.
