And many many many more people have never had devices die for no reason.

On those reviews, take them with a grain of salt because there is usually a back story.

I know of one guy that said his device was faulty because he sat it down on the arm of the couch, forgot it was there and put his elbow through it.
Another left it in a very hot car.
Or had dropped it previously.

I have yet to actually hear of a device spontaneously dying for no reason.

Did you know that at least 75 million ereaders have been sold?

I have seen less than 50,000 bad reviews.
So quit worrying and buy you one.
Note: some credit cards have added protection too.

Now as to which one to buy, both are good companies.
