The problem is that when the awards become gamed even a little bit, it makes all the results rather worthless and the winners aren't really winners.

The results are not "worthless". Where categories were very badly gamed, voters chose to give No Award. Plus, this is what the Alfies are for. I'm really not interested in discussing the Puppies issue publicly in detail. File 770 has everyinthg you want to know about it (and much more). I suggest following the
