Measuring with my caliper from the edge of the device to edge of the sensor (attached picture below) it's 0.275 in ~ 7 mm. It's the same distance vertically and horizontally. The sensor itself is 0.121 in ~ 3 mm in diameter. So about 0.335 in ~ 8.5 mm to the center.
For reference, the left edge of the display is 0.49 in ~ 12.4 mm from the edge of the device.
