OK, my small contribution to the community is to report what Amazon said. After 20 min on the phone the Amazon representative (he sounded knowledgeable) confirmed the Paperwhite (and I would assume other Kindle e-Readers) can only have that password removed by Resetting the device (either by turning off all restrictions (if you know the PC password) or entering the Parental Control password of 111222777 (if you forgot the pw)). There is no special password you can enter to turn off the PC pw.

As a point of clarification for the jailbreak and it's instructions, technically speaking, if the Parental Controls password has been set there is no way to turn it off without a device reset. Restrictions can be turned off but not the PC password.

My suggestion: if you want to disable the Reset Device menu item by setting a Parental Controls password, re-enter the password in the Hint so you at least don't forget it.

Oh-maybe @NiLuJe has found the file that can be deleted?
