Wrong. Marvin is not supposed to take your regular font and simulate bold and italics. Marvin is supposed to use the correct font for bold and italic. So yes, you do need to have all 4 fonts if you want regular, italic, bold, and bold italic.

Try it with a proper set of fonts and then report back how it works. Chances are it will work and what we have here is user error.
