Let's be clear on this...when you mean "font set"...it can't be ONE font? And by font set are you telling me it has to be a complete folder with the marvinz extension when importing? Because it's possible the reason my font didn't work is because I used only ONE font in the font family but I'm not seeing how that's relevant...because when importing the font Marvin 3 is supposed to recognize the font and use that template for all the instances like bold, italic, underline, etc.
