The names disappear if they've already been taken, I believe. I think the only "wrong" names that can kill the dragon are those that are actually offensive. I use Chinese names for mine, and I haven't hit a duplicate yet. There are some forum threads about picking dragon names, but I haven't bothered with those. I'm just doing my own thing here. If one of my names or descriptions gets a dragon "killed," I'll stop playing the game and move on to something else.
