I feel kind of foolish, because it's not very bad at all. But I'll try to post a photo.
I bought this from a dealer here in Peru, and he said that the original owner never had a case. Unfortunately, Kobo has virtually no presence here at all, so he was happy to sell it, since most Peruvians are only aware of the Kindle.
I've owned plenty of Kobo readers, and I like them. I also like Amazon's Kindle.
In many ways, due to the front bezel being plastic, it's not a fingerprint magnet as was the Kobo Glo. That drives me crazy. Having the ribbed rubber (on the HD) as part of the back drives me less crazy, because I'm not looking at the back of the Reader when reading.

I would be very pleased to have paid full price to obtain a new one. All my other Kobo readers were purchased new, in anticipation of spending Christmas in the U.S. with my family.
However, I will NOT wait to purchase the new Kobo 7.8 reader when it comes out. Unfortunately, it will cost me a bit over $100 more. That means, if the new reader is $229 (as one ad revealed), then it may cost me about $350 (or slightly less) to buy it.
