Personally I have no problems with you lumping the four parts together (2 countries, a principality and a territory).
The correct name is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. United Kingdom is a widely accepted abbreviation (although there was previously a United Kingdom), however Great Britain is not strictly correct and if I was from Northern Ireland I think I might object to it.
