While discussing Jim Butcher's work with a friend, (not from this forum), she told me that you might enjoy The Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne, the Secret Histories by Simon R Green, or maybe the Demon Wars Cycle by Peter Brett also.

In fact I do not read much of the urban fantasy genre, but I am sharing these suggestions for the benefit of other friends on this forum. Perhaps you may like them.
