I don't have that kind of insurance but oh well. Yeah, I was afraid that this kindle will still usable in some sort of way. Amazon told me that the device will be 100% bricked but I also know better. That's why I asked here the real deal.

Oh well. I already got a replacement but I opted to order the White Paperwhite. I am not that keen on buying another Voyage since what I am after for buying that was originally the screen resolution. Now that the Paperwhite has it, I don't see any reason shelling out extra $80. An Oasis is also an option, but I just can't make myself buy an e-reader (no matter how good it looks) when the price is just a couple of bucks shy from a Playstation 4.
