This was one of my problems with the first aura 6", though the main one was the quality of the screen which was awful. I assume they learned and it is better. If the quality of the screen is the same as that of the Glo HD I'll buy the 7.8" even though I prefer recessed bezels.
One thing I like with the flush screen: no dust accumulating in the corners - easier to clean.
One thing I like with the IR technology: I can read with gloves (outside in winter waiting for buses or trains) - but I use 6" models on the go, to read comfortably one handed while standing up (and grabbing a pole with the other hand).
