You are running the 'main' operating system on a Kindle firmware version (about) 5.2 or more recent.
All system passwords are disabled, the only one(s) that work would be the ones you add to the USBnetwork install (if you added any).

I will repeat my answer given above in case you missed it:
Fix the connector (by replacing it) or trade the PW-1 in @ Amazon.
