It's in Chinese but the page translates it for you. It works great! It says "not responding" while it's working but that's just because it's searching. Mine found 488 SDR empty folders!
I honestly don't see how having empty sidecar folders could affect system performance while you're reading. It'll waste storage space, but it shouldn't have any impact on anything while you're reading a book.

If you load your books from Calibre and delete them the same way, you'll never get orphan sidecar folders.
