I do not think a 'reset' changes the registration, but it might, so check that it is still registered and give the Kindle a little on-line time to get into sync with the Amazon records.

I think win 7 directions on md5sum checking are in this thread, but I will have to look them up, unless geekmaster (or another Windows user) beats me to it.
