I always borrow a new book, and say "yes, go ahead and remove the old one". That's the only way I was aware of, to return a borrowed book.

Do you think it really prevents others from borrowing it, as it would at a normal library? I'm aware that even digital books have a number-of-copies owned, so that a library can only loan out when one is returned. It never occurred to me that Amazon has that too?
