Barnes and Noble swapped out the nook for me. New nook worked great. I used Calibre to sync over about 200 books. Then the nook told me that I needed a software update. I got 4.5.2, and the same crap the nook was doing started:

1. I couldn't copy anything off the nook.
2. I had to copy ePubs to the nook one at a time.
3. Calibre was unable to scan the nook to see what books I had on it.

Adding an Adobe ID to the nook today fixed these issues, but I shouldn't have to do that.

When the rep told me that I was going to have to use Adobe Digital Editions software to sideload anything, I was about to go ballistic on the woman. Still not happy I need an Adobe ID on my nook, but at least it's working now.
