While this thread seems to have gotten too technical for me, it doesn't really matter since the formatting thing fixed my issue. That said I just wanted to point out that Calibre now seems to take a long time to "Send metadata to device". The actual books get transferred in a few seconds, but then the metadata sync is taking over 3 minutes. It never took that long before this issue came up in the first place. It's not a huge problem or anything, I just wanted to point it out and see if others noticed the same thing. Oh, it happens both when sending books to the kobo and when deleting books from the kobo (if I do that in Calibre).
