You can save it anywhere you want.
The size depends on how many books you have in your library.
Just import the exported data folder onto the new computer using the same dialog, and it will ask you where you want to store your calibre library -- "My Documents" will work fine, but you are free to choose somewhere else if you want. It really doesn't matter, except in terms of what you prefer.
