I think the main problem is that you are using a device optimized for low-power battery life, minimal screen refreshes, etc.
It's not so bad, but there is definitely a bit of lag. And it's been that way since forever, so if they haven't fixed it by the time the PW3 came around I feel confident they haven't fixed it in the Oasis either...

Especially because the hardware in the latest PW and the Voyage and Oasis is pretty much identical.
