Depending on how you do your metadata downloads, multiple results may or may not be merged.
Obviously, this is extra noticeable when they both return identical results...
IIRC, when downloading metadata for one book at a time, you can choose which result to use, and when downloading for multiple books en masse, calibre will
automatically merge the results.
