Have you tried either of the procedures in the Calibre not seeing Kobo in Windows 10 Preview builds thread? One involves using the Minitools Partition wizard, the other uses Windows builtin tools. Before doing either, find a system which will see your Kobo's internal storage and do a backup so you can restore it after the procedure.

One note is that I have done this twice, once under the Preview builds where it broke again after a few weeks, the second time under the Anniversary update which hasn't had the weeks --yet.
