I do make back-ups on my computer. And put the books on my non-kindle e-reader, so I bet they dislike that whole thing (but frankly I'm not giving the books away to other people and steal money from amazon or the authors that way, so I don't feel the least guilty for it)

I put a bid on a used kindle touch. Very low bid, not sure if I'll get it. And an older model of course, but I'd at least get to test it and have something to compare with. And a spare if my letto breaks.
