I've faced this issue as well. Only once, but yes, it was scary.

Just try to leave the M96 connected to power adaptor for 10 mins or so & then try to keep the power button pressed to turn it on.

If it doesn't work, unplug the adaptor & again try to keep the power button pressed until you see the LED under the joystick/4-way D-pad light up.

Try to repeat these steps a few times.

Or try to use a higher power adaptor (I use my Samsung fast charge adaptor providing 2A of output current) instead of the default low power adaptor supplied with the M96.

This worked for me.

If it doesn't for you, try to boot into the fastboot (power+next) or recovery mode (power+back) to force the M96 to do something different.

The aim is to get some signs of life shown by the LED lighting up.

If all else fails, try to see if the flashtool detects the M96 at all.

If everything else fails, it could be a battery issue. Battery might be discharged (might require a kick start) or might even need to be replaced.
