Correction: Multiple reports that the Kobo doesn't work, an implication that at least some iDevices might be similarly affected, and no reports about anything else that I am aware of.
Multiple reports implies it must be something Kobo-specific, though I cannot imagine how MS would mess something like that up.

In other words, as usual JSWolf has gotten something partially correct, and blown it all out of proportion.

Perhaps, on par with his usual observed anti-Kindle partisan tendencies, he is trying (consciously or subconsciously) to create a local mindset that Kindles have this problem, in order to counter the upcoming bad press for Kobo products if this doesn't get fixed really soon?

I can't think of another logical explanation for why he is specifically calling out the Kindle despite the problem reports specifically calling out the Kobo.
