I'm wondering how Kobayashi ever managed to read books printed on paper. Under natural light there are clouds and the paper bends near the spine so has strong left-to-right shading differences; under artificial light the lighting is extremely uneven and the colour temperature is far worse than sunlight... *any* lit Kindle has far better lighting than any paper book. If anything, for full verisimilitude the Oasis should have far more extreme left-to-right shading than it does.
