Good point. I didn't read any of the reviews this time before purchasing, but relied simply on the 4.9-star rating.

I didn't check the GoodReads ratings beforehand, either, but they have 4.13 (47) for one edition, and 4.27 (11) for the other. Both outstanding ratings, coming from the less charitable (than Amazon raters) GoodReads crowd. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

In my part of the south, the only kind of fried green tomato is cornmeal-coated. ha
