Deregistration? That just erases the MKK (I believe it is built into Amazon's Kindlet Developer Program, so random yahoos cannot get ahold of a "qualified" developer's Kindle and run unapproved code on the device).

The "bridge" code triggers on every reboot, and this time around will detect that the MKK is broken and bridge it back in.
