You won't lose the jailbreak by connecting to the internet, who told you you would?
What connecting to the internet does is runs the risk of an over-the-air firmware update (if there is one available from Amazon).
Which in turn causes hacks to need to be reinstalled (since their support code was removed from the newly-updated rootfs).
The jailbreak itself is bridged and will not be harmed by the firmware update.
