Were you changing the titles via Calibre, and also had them assigned to some Cloud Collections? I had lots of trouble with that last December. I finally had to stop changing the books' titles (I was prepending series info) so that I could still FIND them on the Kindle.

I could download them via Calibre (with changed titles), and since I was doing about a dozen at once, I had time to dismount the kindle and turn it on --- and WATCH the titles be initially there, and then "disappear". That really feels like a "you changed the title on me" issue. So I stopped trying to change the titles and then the books showed up just fine.
NO! The last 20 I got Direct from Amazon.. I DL they Vanish. I Never had these problems with K3 I Havent had them with the Fires. So Has to be the PW. & I am not the only one... just google it
