I assume the books on your Sony are ePub's? Where you are in the world can make a difference on what's easily available to you, but the Kobo Touch 2, Kobo Glo HD and Kobo Aura H2O are all good widely available ePub readers (they do Mobi too, but not all that well).
Of course since you use Calibre (according to your other thread) converting those ePub's to AZW3 or Mobi is a snap so a Kindle could be an option as well.
