Yeah, it's from a 4GB WiFi version, which was introduced to the world much later than the original 4GB Japanese one, so it *should* do the trick

(That 4GB vs. 2GB thing was the extent of the original differences, as far as we know. And a 4GB variant replaced the original 2GB one in every other country later on, as @knc1 said).
