Loving what you've got here, and I hope I can make it work for me too!

I have a kindle that was rooted then recently amazon pushed their newest firmware (*3.4.2?) and that caused me to 'remember' it and try and return to my old project.

I'm trying to install Kite so that I can just create a simple web based display to have on my wall. However as the firmware was updated I'm no longer sure exactly what is working, what should work etc.

I've tried installing kite via the firmware update and it never shows up on the kindle as the 'update my kindle' option - however I tried reapplying the firmware updates and while these do show the option correctly, they fail after trying to install.

Should the firmware hack still be working after amazon's update, or do I need to do something such as a removal and reinstall before I can install kite correctly?

If it matters I have the European 3G kindle, and am using the k3gb bin packages.
