Many thanks for the custom headers and footers, Kris!

Here are 3 proposals for improving this newly introduced feature:
  1. In addition to the existing custom template placeholders, please also let us use tags for bold and italics: for example, either in square brackets (such as here in MobileRead forums), or in standard HTML brackets <b></b>, <i></i>. It would really improve the look, structuring, and easy, one-look comprehension of data in headers and footers (particularly when they contain lots of data, as mine do) if we could stylize certain parts of them in bold or italics. (For example, it is pretty standard, in the world of books, to print book titles in italics; so that's what I would set up for my headers.)
  2. Please let users select the number of decimals to be displayed for the {%inbook}, {%inchapter} metrics. When you read long books, such as a 1000-page book, it takes many page turns even on the largest iPad (let alone an iPhone) before you see the percentage increase by even 1%. Therefore, please give us the option to display 0, 1, or 2 decimals for the percentages. You can keep the default at 0 decimals, as it is now. I would select 2 decimal numbers, and other users might opt for 1 decimal number (which is the default and only option in Moon+ Reader Pro on Android).
  3. Please let us, as a user option, treat "pages in book" in the same way as "pages in chapter". This does not need to be the default option at all – the default can be as it is now (although I, for one, find it useless, because the current "pages in book" data is misleading and pulled out of thin air; it is particularly misleading when reading e-books with lots of illustrations interspersed; see the two dedicated MobileRead threads on this issue here and here). The current situation is strikingly absurd especially whenever you read the final chapter of any e-book: in that situation, Marvin claims, within the same footer, that you have (for example) both 10 pages, and 15 pages left in the same book, same chapter... Well, it can't be both, right? Again, if most Marvin users couldn't care less about such inconsistencies, that's fine; but I do care, and it's extremely annoying to see this in every e-book I read in Marvin, so, as a user option, please give us the "pages in chapter" = "pages in book" calculation setting as well.
Thank you for considering these improvements.
