The Peacock's Cry is a Hugh Corbett novella by Paul Doherty. Per
eReaderIQ, it has just dropped to $0.99 from a fairly long-term price of $5.99. At only 62 pages, I'm not quite sure who would be paying $5.99 for this, unless the publisher was just hoping folks would get fooled into thinking it was a full book. (To give the publisher credit, though, the "Hugh Corbett Novella" is pretty prominent in the title, so probably not intentional, just irrational

.)
In any case, if you are a Hugh Corbett fan, it's now $0.99, for an unknown time.
