I've just noticed something. The books that are duplicates have the book in two directories on the kindle. i.e.
/Volumes/Kindle/documents/bookname.azw3 and
/Volumes/Kindle/documents/author name/bookname.azw3

Of the 8 duplicate books, there is one, and only one that has an .azw3f file in the same directory and the documents folder. Not sure why these books have two entries like this and not sure which one I should consider the duplicate.
