I have a SN#905A, which is a SN found on the wiki, and is indeed PW2, 6th gen, purchased in japan, using it in japan, registered to usa amazon account.
I made it pretty far! I have KUAL and MRPI working. But the only "hack" that i've got to work is DRAW, which i dragged to extensions.
The only hack I'm
interested in is the screensaver, linkss.
i put the bin in mrinstaller. it gets found. i hush, as a little baby, its done quick as a flash and indicates its deleting something (the bin apparently). i hit the hw switch to turn off. i still see pencils. no new folders in dev or docs. i restart. i still see pens.
I've tried it many times. same results. i have reset the device and rooted all over again. same results.
i bought it with special offers activated. i have never seen one special offer. i went into amazon settings and turned off special offers. it didn't charge me anything.
i tried to install python and koreader and usbnet, just to try. the latter 2 appear in kual menu but don't seem to work. the messages during install indicated 100% completion, but at the end there was failure (for both) to mount root something something.
so, im all ears.
I'm giving up unless i hear of a case of a 905A successfully running screensaver.
