It was good (of course - it's Bujold), but not as good as Penric's Demon. I liked seeing the characters again, and the story was OK, but...

(The following are spoilers for both Penric and the Shaman and other books in the Five Gods series)

Spoiler:
the plot felt too much like a lightweight version of The Hallowed Hunt. Even some of the names echoed - Inglis/Ingrey, Oswyl/Oswin.
