James Wittenbach's "Worlds Apart" series

Over the last week, I first discovered and then devoured James Wittenbach's 9-book (completed, out of 12 planned), 4-short-story space-opera series "Worlds Apart". They're available on-line as free e-books in both DOC and PDF formats.
