But unfortunately – as I understand – I can choose only one language website of Amazon at the same time. This is very inconvenient for me as I have to change this option all the time. Is there a way to solve this problem?
Short of using a metadata plugin to subclass the Amazon one, using a specific language selection? No.

The problem is no one has really tried to solve this problem before -- most people don't need to keep on downloading metadata for multiple languages.

Sometimes all the possibilities offered by Calibre are not good. I have to go to the publisher website and copy & paste (the abstract) or download & upload (the cover). Again: Is there a better way done directly from Calibre?
Sure there is. Someone needs to write a metadata plugin to support that particular website.

calibre can only find what is on the websites it knows about. And it depends on users to teach it about new websites.
