Lifehacker has instructions up on How to Jailbreak Your Kindle with the procedure from this thread.

On the plus side it has screenshots and they do have a link to the Kindle (eink) Jailbreak Index thread here.

On the minus side it's unclear whether they will be updating it to reflect changes to the instructions here.
