If you, regrettably, used instructions that did not come from this thread, and the alternative instructions have not been updated properly (not uncommon, and we cannot ensure their accuracy hence our advice to always use this thread), then you have caused your Kindle considerable, though not irreparable, damage.
Follow the Master Index sticky to the "simple debricking" instructions and/or the recent firmware 5.6.x serial port jailbreak instructions, for guidance on opening up the hardware and manually restoring a working firmware.

By saying "debricking" do you mean taking the device apart? I don't want to do so if possible.

cuz my device is brand new. Do you think it will work if I send the device to Amazon?
