I think $60 is fine for a DX - IF YOU FEEL YOU CAN TRUST THE SELLER. You may still need to buy a battery, however. They're not that expensive and are quite easy (I understand) to install.
You should also inquire about the cosmetic condition.
You will also need to assess your tolerance level concerning the absence of a front light (in these devices). If you can't function without one, then you should stay away from it - in my opinion.
I own a DX-G, but it is having some electronic or circuity issues, but it's still quite usable (under most conditions) and very enjoyable.
