They don't have a Linux version.

But again, tearing down the old pages is still silly. If you are specifically hunting for a specific version, then why are they stopping you?

And I have tried on Windows as well, and still gotten the "give me your phone #" shtick. But I cannot remember which version of Windows I tried.

I have no idea what exact criteria Amazon uses to determine who gets a link. It seems rather unpredictable.
Maybe they roll the virtual dice.

But I could have sworn at one point the intermediate (non-direct-download) link you gave was nuked and replaced with a redirect to the unified landing page as well.
