I sent Steve an email as I wasn't sure how we were supposed to be communicating about the alpha/beta (some companies don't like public discussion), but since we have this thread I've copied/pasted the email below (got an auto response from Steve that he's away for a few days).
CC appears to connect fine via wireless device connection. When sending books (I tried three, then two, then just one) the app blinks off the screen and an error pops up in Calibre (see below). App is still "running" in the background on the phone (as seen when double clicking the home button) [hope that makes sense]. When trying again the wireless device connection in Calibre must be stopped and started again otherwise the app reports that Calibre isn't responding.

Also noticed if my phone screen goes black (sleep) while I'm selecting books to send, the connection to Calibre drops and things need to be restarted (app, Calibre). Dropping the connection may be the expeted behavior? I don't remember it happening on Android, but my tablets generally aren't set to sleep as quickly as my phone screen.
