When I press the read icon the circle just moves to the other side and becomes white. I do not have a choice of readers. I have iBooks and Bluefire reader on my iPad.
It seems from your comment that I must have erred when I was trying to download the app - perhaps from the very beginning. Unless I get any other suggestions I'll try deleting both the Beta icon CalibreCompanion icon, and see if I can start over.
